What Truly Motivates Students to Use Essay Writing Services?

Essay writing has always been an integral part of liberal arts education. Students need to write essays that meet academic standards in terms of research, style, and structure. Given that writing is considered so important in curricula, there’s no surprise that students get writing assignments all the time. From junior high to Ph.D., they have to write countless essays, research papers, and other assignments. Writing tasks can account for about 40% of a student’s grades so students deal with great pressure trying to get as many A grades in a semester as possible.

Higher education is both rewarding and extremely challenging. Although graduation is an important step towards achieving your career goals, it requires you to put a lot of time and effort into mastering skills that may not necessarily be useful for you in the future. Not all students are going to rely on their writing skills when they join the workforce. Many of them realize that they need to focus on other subjects that will actually serve as advantages for a professional.

Online writing services help students with their writing assignments that are a common part of a university syllabus. Although some people think that such services are only used by lazy students, the truth is that there are many reasons why students look for online academic help. Many of them are determined and motivated students who have clear goals and who simply lack the time or don’t want to waste their time on writing tasks so that they can focus on more important goals. In this article, we will consider some reasons why students use writing services and figure out what truly motivates them.

Why Students Use Writing Services

It’s much easier to understand why students use writing services when having a clear understanding of how they use such services. Some students use them when deadlines are tight, while others may lack knowledge so they are most interested in the research part of the task. There are also many students who can provide great research but their grammar skills are not good enough to meet the standards of academic writing. There are also students who write all of their papers but order professional editing because they have problems with choosing the appropriate style or creating the right type of structure.

The most common reason why students decide to order their papers online is that they simply don’t have enough time to deal with countless assignments. They have too many classes, their workload is too heavy with tests, and the deadlines are too tight. However, these are not all the difficulties students face. Tuition costs grow all the time, so many students need to have a part-time job so that they can afford their education. Not all of these students simply purchase papers and submit them. Quite often, they rewrite these papers and make sure to actually understand the information. In addition to a part-time job, students may also have kids so they might need to spend more time with their families. Given that educators don’t address such issues, students need to look for other solutions, and writing services provide the solution they need.

Besides, not all subjects are equally important for each student. For example, students from the STEM area often become customers of online writing services because they need to work on some assignments that are completely useless for their future careers. For instance, if you’re going to be an engineer and you need to write a lengthy term paper on literature, you likely won’t take this paper seriously because it has nothing to do with your future profession and this task doesn’t allow you to learn anything useful. At the same time, you cannot fail because it will have a negative impact on your GPA. Obviously, you need to work on many other, more important tasks, so you may decide to delegate this term paper to professional writers.

Is This About Cheating?

Many professors and teachers criticize essay writing services and accuse students who use them of cheating. The truth is that educators often fail to see the general picture and don’t bother to figure out why students need writing services, in the first place. Even though some students are just lazy so they want to submit someone else’s work, thousands of students are forced to use these services because they are unable to deal with their workload or don’t have enough time.

“Not all students order complete academic papers written from scratch. For instance, many students simply use editing services to polish their papers and get a higher grade. Many students may conduct research and order writing help or buy sample papers to rewrite them, using these papers to understand what the right structure looks like, or how they should formulate their thesis statements,” says Christopher Dale, essay writing services researcher at LegitWritingServices.

Wrapping Up

If educators consider writing services a problem, they need to understand what its causes are. The truth is that problems are created by educators that not always take into account students’ needs and don’t offer enough flexibility so that successful and determined students can have enough time for their assignments. Writing services are not a problem for education but rather a solution. Students don’t simply want to cheat. They need help, and writing services provide this help because otherwise, many students who pay for their education won’t be able to get what they pay for.

Educators must consider their standards and be more careful when it comes to the amount of writing work students are required to do. Of course, educators must communicate the importance of writing, but they should also make sure that STEM students and students from other niches that have nothing to do with writing have enough spare time to work on their writing assignments. Not everyone is a brilliant writer, and if educators demand all students to write outstanding papers, they shouldn’t be surprised by the fact that students delegate this task to professional writers.

What truly motivates students to use essay writing services? Simply put, students want to succeed. They want to achieve their long-term goals so they may ask for help when they really need it. They need to overcome numerous difficulties on their way to success, and writing services enable them to do it.
