It’s that time of year again: The Kotesol International Conference 2015. I’ve been attending and presenting at these conferences for the last 5 years or so and it’s with a wee bit of sadness that I’ll be going to my last one before I leave the land of the kimchi. Kotesol has been an excellent way to meet some amazing people and also a great chance to pick up some teaching tips and inspiration along my journey to become a better teacher. If you haven’t got your tickets yet, no worries. You can get them at the door easily enough but make sure you bring some cold hard Wons.
I’ll be involved in 2 ways this year:
Presentation: How to Teach Speaking. Sunday 9am. I know, relegated to Sunday 9am is kind of grim but I’m going to power through it and I really can’t promise that I’ll even have both eyes open at that time. But, I’ll do my best and hope to get some audience participation to move it along.
Employment Center: I’ll be there on both Saturday and Sunday during lunch time, from roughly 12-1. If anyone wants to talk uni jobs, golden handcuffs, life after ESL, ESL industry in Korea, or just about anything, come say hello and have a chat. I promise to be much more wide awake here and my normal upbeat self.
